Below you will find a reproduction of the Lemberger reprint pages found between pages 107 and 129 of his Helgoland Philatelie. Whoever made the pages took the trouble to translate them into English. A distinguished American collector provided me with these pages, and with most of the stamps already in place. These pages have been a valuable resource to me and I hope the scans shown here will be of use to other collectors. I have added some blocks and a few full sheets which illustrate the colored printer's margin dots which provide the only means for identification of some issues. That is why some collectors have managed to acquire full sheets of all reprints. This gives them the most certain means of identification of the more difficult issues. Again I must caution that there is always a difference between scanned stamps on the web and originals. A perfect color match is hard to do. These were scanned at 96 dpi (dots per inch). For best viewing I prefer a scan of 200 to 400 dpi, but the files become rather large and the pages become too large to view comfortably on the computer monitor. I have done large scans of originals elsewhere on this site where I felt they were justified. |
